ABOUT

Of The Valley is a small independent studio based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. 

Specialising in traditional media, Of The Valley is fronted by a creative couple who wanted to realise their own zen sanctuary.

​Spurred on by all the time spent at home in the lockdowns of 2020, they set to work to create pieces of art that they would be proud to hang on their own walls.  

 Previously from a background of fine art portraiture and producing creative projects, they decided to take a different route, one that would be expressive, full of colour and wildly unpredictable at times.

​Their first collection of work, the Crystal Collection, came from the realisation that the medium they were experimenting with, alcohol ink, had the ability to make the perfect texture to re-create the organic intricacies found within crystals.

From that first collection many more were born, each with its own connection to spirituality. Experimenting with what spirituality means in a visual sense, to them and the wider community, is the backbone that underpins all Of The Valley creations.
